This article is applicable to all employees using Windows 10.
Windows 10
- In the search box on the taskbar, type printers.
- Click Add a printer or scanner.
The Printer & Scanners settings appear. - Click Add a printer or scanner.
A list of local printers will appear. - If you see the name of a local printer in the list, click it. Otherwise, click the printer I want isn't listed. The Add Printer dialog box appears.
- Choose Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname, then click Next.
- Type the IP address of the printer in the Hostname or IP address text box, then click Next.
The format for the IP address is nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn. You must use periods and numbers exactly as you see it on the printer. When entered correctly, your computer will contact the printer successfully. - Use the suggested printer name or type your own to make it easy to identify in your printers list within applications, then click Next.
- Choose Do not share this printer, then click Next.
- Click Finish.
You can click Print a test page to verify the printer is set up correctly before clicking Finish.
